Rink Monitor / Helper

This position is just to be a Safety Monitor / Helper in the rink and locker room areas. “You will not need to go into the locker rooms while they are occupied” you will only be checking the hallways to make sure no horseplay is going on. Also keep watch that no stick/puck play is going on around the bleacher areas.  Also be a general helper, directing teams to our locker rooms, checking and changing the garbage cans and bathrooms to replenish anything needed. (No experience necessary)

Raffle Table

Responsible for selling tickets for raffle baskets and other items that will be raffled off at the end of the weekend. You will be handling money and handing out change. The raffle table is usually outside in the rink area. Please dress warm. (No experience necessary)

Concessions Stand

Responsible to work in a full operating concession stand. Tasks include the preparation of concession foods such as hamburgers, nachos, hot dogs, and deep fried items; and the selling of beverages and other packaged foods. Worker will also operate the cash register and interact with patrons. They also have to perform general clean up duties and minor care of machines in the concession stand. (No experience necessary)

Concessions Lead

Responsible to work in a full operating concession stand. Lead will manage the other workers in the concessions stand. You will be required to know all tasks required to run the concession stand and be able to train any inexperienced workers. You will be responsible for opening the cash register for the shift and also closing out the transactions at the end of the day. Also have to perform general clean up duties and minor care of machines in the concession stand.  (Experience Required)

Game Clock

Controlling the scoreboard for game times, shots on goal, goals, and setting the penalty clocks. You are also to remain neutral. You are considered an off-ice official and need to control your emotions. (Experience Required)

Game Scorer

Marking the scorebook for shots on goal, goals, and penalties. You are also to remain neutral. You are considered an off-ice official and need to control your emotions.  (Experience Required)

Game Music- Announcer

Music person is responsible for playing music in between every play and period during the home games. Additionally the DJ will play the goal horn for every home team goal. The DJ will play music on a computer using iTunes. We have a variety of playlists such as pre-game, power play songs, penalty kill songs, crowd favorites, and in between play songs. Also you will be an announcer,  responsible for letting people know when to stand for the national anthem, announcing the teams playing, who scored the goal, and general informational announcements when needed (Very Little Experience Required)

Zamboni Operator

Responsible for operating the Zamboni before the first game of the day and in between games. Must have Zamboni filled with water and ready to clean the ice as soon as the game is over to keep games on-schedule. (Experience Required)

Penalty Box

Your primary job is to open and close the penalty box door for penalized players, and to ensure the penalized player(s) keeps himself under control. As for managing the door, please be attentive to the expiration of a penalty clock so that players quickly get back in the game. And, if a kid gets out of line, inform the player’s coach. If that doesn’t solve the problem, inform the referees and/or tournament director.  Dress warmly. Gender does not matter. NOTE: No person other than the Penalty Box attendant and penalized player(s) is allowed in the penalty box during a game. You are also to remain neutral. You are considered an off-ice official and need to control your emotions. There will be two people assigned to this task per game, one in each penalty box. After the game you will exit the penalty box, closing the door tightly behind you and proceed to the closest hockey net. Slide the net towards the wall, near the players’ bench.  After the Zamboni makes the first pass you slide the net to the boards and tip the net up against the boards so it does not freeze onto the freshly watered ice. You will then exit the rink making sure to close the door behind you. (No experience necessary)
